Bow-Cor wraps up 2019!
2019 has been a very exciting year at Bow-Cor Custom Welding. Not only we had the pleasure of working on exciting projects, but we expanded our office space, welcomed new staff members, launched a great website and increased our presence on social media.
In the spring, Bow-Cor Custom Welding was awarded the fabrication and install of the structural steel for the lobby entrance at Jack Pine Lodge by Springcreek Mountain Village. These new condominiums are at the centre of the future neighbourhood plaza and close to everything.
An extensive upgrade started in the summer at the Town of Canmore Waste Water Treatment Plant to replace instruments and controls. Our scope included beams and columns for the new building structure.
If you haven’t seen the new sign at Rocky Mountain Bagel Co. on Bow Valley Trail, check it out while having their amazing coffee and baked goods. The sign is designed as a living wall and the moss needs very little water.
On your next road trip to BC, stop in Kamloops and visit the Bicycle Cafe where you can have a look at the unique exterior shop sign and the staircase we fabricated and installed in their new spacious store.
In July we welcomed our new office administrator, Nikolett who became an active member of the team. Shortly after, our welding crew also expanded with a new staff, Shelby who is an experienced and hard working journeyman welder. We are very happy to have them on the team.
In early August we had a fun photoshoot with John Gibson from Gibson Pictures who took awesome pictures of our crew working on metal pieces. These pictures were used for our new website that was created by Jean McAllister from Dark Horse Company and was launched in the same month.
This fall, Bow-Cor Custom Welding started fabricating and installing new canopies for Cascade Plaza in Banff with Tarchuk Construction. The new canopies have a gentle slope and provide protection from snow and ice.
Bow-Cor Welding is still working with Basecamp Suites on the construction of their new visitor accommodation in the heart of downtown Canmore. The new hotel is set to open in 2020.
In the meanwhile, we activated our Facebook page as well, and started to share photos of our projects and some general information about the welding industry. If you haven’t seen our posts, please visit our Facebook page and follow it to get the latest updates from Bow-Cor Custom Welding.
